What the heck is a culture of volunteerism and philanthropy?  Defining, achieving and succeeding at the very thing that everyone is talking about but few organizations really seem to understand.

Session Description:

When everyone says that they want to build a culture of volunteerism or volunteer engagement, what exactly does that mean and do we all understand it to be the same thing?  What does it look like and feel like?  How do we know when we have gotten there?  What practical steps do we need to take to build this culture?  How does this positively impact volunteer and donor stewardship and fundraising?  How do we “manage up” when our leaders are not being effective at building this culture?  Many of us are asking these questions but are not often getting effective answers.  Join in on an engaging and participatory discussion that will cover organizational culture, change management, influencing, building trust, growing emotional intelligence and vital soft skills to bring a true culture of philanthropy to your organization.  Delivered by a team with a breadth of volunteer management, fundraising, organizational change and human resource management expertise.
