Presenter: Christine Martin


Christine Martin is the Senior Manager, Volunteer Engagement at Evergreen, a national not-for-profit that Inspires action to green cities.  Christine has been building volunteer engagement at Evergreen for over 8 years  following several years as a volunteer there. Evergreen now engages about 6,000 volunteers each year in dozens of different roles where they contribute close to 30,000 hours each year. Christine’s current focus is on refreshing Evergreen’s volunteer engagement, expanded learning opportunities for volunteers (in-person and online), impact storytelling and improving systems for excellence and efficiency in volunteer engagement. 


Workshop Description/Learning Outcomes:


Learn and explore a range of design thinking tools to create an even better experience for volunteers and staff at your organization. Together, we’ll stretch our creative thinking muscles to discover problems and create solutions in collaborative, people-centered ways.  You’ll be adding to your professional toolkit of techniques and methods for success. Be prepared to have some fun too!
