“Networking can be intimidating, whether you're introverted, have social anxiety, or just simply don't enjoy meeting new people. Being able to network and build new relationships is an important professional and life skill for success.”- Business Insider article by Jamie Kravitz

TAVA’s annual Give & Get is an event where “networking” is reframed. Join us to share your experiences and insights as a volunteer engagement professional, and learn from other passionate individuals in the field. As a community, we are stronger together.

You will come away from this fun event with:

  • New professional connections
  • Tools, ideas and resources for your professional toolkit
  • And, renewed energy to bring back to your organization

Historically, the Give & Get is TAVA’s most-attended meeting/ workshop. We look forward to having you attend!

*Please note: this event is free for non-members of TAVA ($10 non-member fee applies to other workshops). Unsure about joining or renewing? This is your opportunity to get to know us better! Members, please bring a friend!

Call for Facilitators/ Facilitation Teams

Every TAVA member has ideas, resources and real-life experiences to share. Give & Get is YOUR time to shine. We are seeking facilitators for 10-30-minute activities (pairs and teams welcome).

Indicate your interest to presidenttava@gmail.com. Please include:

  • A description of your activity and how it will facilitate idea sharing (50-100 words)
  • A brief profile for each facilitator (50-100 words) + optional photo

Need facilitation ideas? Check out www.liberatingstructures.com. Christine Martin, the inaugural recipient of TAVA’s Innovation Award introduced these “easy-to-learn microstructures that enhance relational coordination and trust. They quickly foster lively participation in groups of any size, making it possible to truly include and unleash everyone.”
